Workshop Formats for Hands-On Studio Organization

Practical sessions that walk you through sorting, pairing, and placing decorative storage pieces in your own workspace. Each workshop covers a specific corner of the home studio, from shared desks to reading nooks, with material samples and texture swatches you can handle during the session.

What Workshop Participants Say

Notes from studio owners and desk organizers who joined our material-focused sessions.

Studio corner

Clay organizers changed my shelf layout

After the terracotta session, I rearranged my whole desk around one large tray and two small pots. The warm tone ties the notebooks and lamp together, and the open shelf finally looks intentional instead of cluttered.

Paper grain

Handmade paper is now my default

The paper texture guide helped me pick a cotton blend for sketching and a smoother bamboo sheet for daily notes. I had no idea grain affected ink flow that much. My journaling routine feels more deliberate now.

Shared desk

Olive accents calmed our co-working table

We added two olive green storage boxes and a small lamp to the shared table. The space reads quieter and everyone reaches for the same tray instead of scattering pens across the surface.

Reading nook

Storage that fits a corner

The session on compact storage gave me a plan for a narrow reading corner. A single vertical organizer holds my notebooks, a few pencils, and a small plant without blocking the window light.

Workshop Formats and Studio Sessions

Practical answers about how our studio workshops are structured, what materials are used, and how you can join a session.

Ask about a session

What does a typical studio workshop cover?

Each session focuses on a single craft: making a terracotta pen tray, binding a handmade paper notebook, or assembling a modular desk organizer. You leave with one finished piece and a clear sense of the technique.

Do I need prior experience to join?

No. Workshops are designed for beginners. The instructor walks through each step, and all tools and materials are provided. If you have worked with clay or paper before, you can move at your own pace.

How long is a session and what is the group size?

Sessions run about two and a half hours, with a short break in the middle. Groups are kept to eight people so there is enough table space and individual attention.

What materials are used in the workshops?

We work with natural clay, handmade cotton paper, olive-toned storage boxes, and untreated wood. Everything is sourced from local suppliers, and you can take the leftover material home for practice.

Can I book a private workshop for a team or a group of friends?

Yes. Private sessions are available on weekday evenings. You can choose the project, and we adjust the pace to your group. Contact us with your preferred date and group size.

Where do the workshops take place?

Sessions are held at our studio in Dadar Kochi. The space is set up with workbenches, natural light, and a small shelf of reference pieces. The address is listed on the contact page.

Hands-on sessions for arranging, pairing, and maintaining your studio pieces

See our approach

Texture pairing clinics

Bring two or three objects from your desk and we work through how clay, wood, linen, and paper interact under the same light. You leave with a small arrangement plan for your actual shelf or tabletop.

Storage mapping sessions

A 45-minute walkthrough of your current setup, focused on what you reach for daily and what stays buried. We suggest specific organizer types and positions, not generic decluttering advice.

Material care workshops

Hands-on practice with cleaning and conditioning natural finishes: terracotta sealing, untreated wood oiling, and paper storage habits. Each participant works on a sample piece they bring or one we provide.

Shared desk planning

For households or small teams sharing one work surface. We map zones for focused work, stationery, and personal objects, then test the layout with your actual items before you commit to new purchases.
